The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the "Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination, 2026" on April 24, 2026. The Commission is set to conduct an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination for the direct recruitment of Stenographer Grade 'C' (Group 'B', Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade 'D' (Group 'C'). These vacancies have been reported by various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India across various States and Union Territories.

Prospective candidates are advised that applications must be submitted exclusively through the online mode. Submissions can be made via the Commission's official website at https://ssc.gov.in or through the ‘My SSC’ Mobile App. The final date for the submission of online applications is May 15, 2026 (23:00 Hrs). Additionally, the window for making the online fee payment will remain open until May 16, 2026 (23:00 Hrs).

Regarding the Southern Region, the Computer Based Examination is tentatively scheduled to take place between July and August 2026. The examination will be hosted across 26 designated centers and cities within the region. This includes 12 centers in Andhra Pradesh, 09 centers in Tamil Nadu, 04 centers in Telangana, and 01 center in Puducherry.
