The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the 'Combined Hindi Translator Examination-2026' to fill vacant Group-'B' non-gazetted posts in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. These include Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Senior Hindi Translator, and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator). The Bengaluru Regional Office of the Karnataka-Kerala Region has issued a notification in this regard, with a total of 84 tentative vacancies currently available. Interested candidates can apply online only through the Commission's official website: (https://ssc.gov.in](https://ssc.gov.in).

The last date to apply is May 14, 2026 (until 11:00 PM). A window for application corrections will be provided on May 19 and 20. The computer-based examination for these posts is scheduled to be held in August or September 2026. The selection process consists of two stages: Paper-1 will feature objective-type questions on General Hindi and General English (100 marks each), while Paper-2 will be a descriptive test on Translation and Essay writing (200 marks). The age limit and educational qualifications of the candidates will be considered as of August 1, 2026.

The application fee is ₹100 for general candidates. Women, SC/ST, PwD, and Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee. Selected candidates will receive a total monthly salary ranging from approximately ₹35,393 (Pay Level-1) to a maximum of ₹88,645 (Pay Level-7), depending on the post grade.
