The Office of the Principal Controller of Communication Accounts (Pr. CCA), Tamil Nadu Circle, organized a series of high-impact initiatives in May 2026, focusing on pensioner welfare, regulatory compliance, and staff health. During a Pension Adalat held in Coimbatore on May 7, 2026, specifically for pensioners from the Coonoor region, Smt. Indu Madhavi, CCA, Tamil Nadu Circle, officially released the “P-Sevak” handbook. This self-explanatory guide is designed to empower senior citizens by consolidating essential contact numbers, official email IDs, and guidance for independent grievance redressal. Emphasizing the department's priority of prompt service, the Adalat witnessed the screening of a Cyber Crime Awareness video to educate approximately 50 participating pensioners on digital safety and the importance of protecting sensitive personal and bank information from fraudulent activities.

The effectiveness of the grievance redressal mechanism was demonstrated during the event, where out of 63 grievances taken up, 39 were resolved on the spot. While 13 cases remain under process pending further documentation, 11 cases were identified as non-considerable due to specific pay anomalies. Parallelly, the department conducted a Telecom Outreach Program for decentralized licensees in Coimbatore to bolster collaboration and compliance. Chaired by the CCA, the session featured briefings by the Joint CCA (LF) on quarterly payment schedules, document submission procedures, and the latest telecom reforms. Licensees were strongly advised to adhere to payment deadlines to avoid penal actions, reinforcing a culture of transparent governance and operational efficiency within the circle.

Furthering its commitment to holistic well-being, the Office of the Pr. CCA organized a TB Awareness Program and Pranayama Camp on May 12, 2026. Renowned Yoga and Mudhra Therapist Shri Venkat led an informative session for the staff, demonstrating preventive mudras and laughter therapy as vital tools for long-term health and disease prevention. Smt. Arulmathi, Joint CCA (Admin), and Smt. Indu Madhavi, CCA, felicitated the therapist for his contributions to public health awareness. These combined initiatives underscore the department’s multi-faceted approach to serving its stakeholders and employees through digital empowerment, regulatory clarity, and wellness-oriented workplace practices.
