Shri Saurabh Vijay, IAS, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, visited the UIDAI Regional Office (RO), Mumbai, as part of his regional outreach engagements following his assumption of charge as CEO.

Shri Vijay was received by Capt. Lovekesh Thakur, Deputy Director General (DDG), UIDAI RO Mumbai, along with senior officers Col. Akshay Yadav and Lt. Col. Dhruv. During the visit, he held detailed discussions with the regional team and reviewed the functioning, performance and key initiatives undertaken by the Regional Office. A comprehensive presentation was made before the CEO highlighting the operational achievements, field-level initiatives and future roadmap of UIDAI RO Mumbai. The review focused on strengthening Aadhaar service delivery and accelerating the adoption of digital services for residents across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.

Shri Saurabh Vijay emphasized UIDAI’s continued commitment towards providing secure, seamless and citizen-centric identity services across the country. He encouraged officers to proactively leverage emerging technologies to further enhance resident experience while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency and data security.Capt. Lovekesh Thakur reiterated the commitment of UIDAI RO Mumbai towards advancing UIDAI’s mission of empowering residents through trusted digital identity services.

The visit reflects UIDAI’s continued efforts to strengthen coordination with regional offices and align field operations with its vision of inclusive, reliable and future-ready digital identity services.
