Port Day is celebrated annually to commemorate the historic arrival of the SS Padma into the inner harbour of Cochin Port on May 26, 1928 — a milestone that marked Kochi’s emergence as a key maritime hub in India.

Achievers of 2025–26 from the Cochin Port community will be honoured during the function. Outstanding employees of Cochin Port for the year 2025–26 will also be felicitated, followed by cultural programmes presented by port employees and their family members.
