Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam today highlighting that agriculture is not merely a means of livelihood, but the fundamental basis of the nourishment of society and the nation.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"कृषि केवल जीविका का साधन नहीं, बल्कि समाज और राष्ट्र के पोषण का मूल आधार है। हमारे किसान भाई-बहनों का पसीना जब मिट्टी में मिलता है तो अन्न बनकर देशवासियों के जीवन को संबल देता है।

ते कृषिं च सस्यं च मनुष्या उप जीवन्ति।
कृष्टराधिरुपजीवनीयो भवति य एवं वेद॥

Agriculture and crops are the very foundation of human life. One who understands this truth carries out agricultural work properly and through it, society is sustained and nourished.

कृषि केवल जीविका का साधन नहीं, बल्कि समाज और राष्ट्र के पोषण का मूल आधार है। हमारे किसान भाई-बहनों का पसीना जब मिट्टी में मिलता है तो अन्न बनकर देशवासियों के जीवन को संबल देता है।
