Ahead of the International Day of Yoga 2026, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has undertaken a unique public awareness initiative in Nashik by displaying yoga-themed artwork on the pillars of the city's elevated corridor at Bali Maharaj Mandir Chowk on the six-laned Pimpalgaon–Nashik–Gonde section of National Highway (NH)-160. The initiative aims to promote the message of wellness, healthy living and the benefits of yoga among citizens and commuters.

NHAI has developed a 10-km-long Main Elevated Corridor in Nashik City, which serves as a key urban transportation route. The road beneath the elevated corridor witnesses significant daily traffic and is also expected to cater to a large number of devotees visiting Nashik during the forthcoming Kumbh Mela.
As part of its ongoing city beautification efforts, NHAI has transformed the pillars of the elevated corridor through graphic film wrapping featuring vibrant thematic artwork. In view of the upcoming International Day of Yoga, a dedicated yoga theme has been incorporated on 15 piers of the corridor. The artwork depicts various yoga asanas along with messages encouraging physical fitness, mental well-being and a balanced lifestyle.
The initiative seeks to take the message of yoga beyond conventional platforms and integrate it into everyday public spaces. Through these visually engaging displays, NHAI aims to inspire commuters, residents and visitors to adopt yoga as a way of life and benefit from its positive impact on physical and mental health.

Besides enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the corridor, the initiative demonstrates how public infrastructure can be effectively leveraged to promote social awareness and foster positive community engagement. The thematic beautification also contributes to creating a more vibrant and welcoming urban environment.
