Attestation Parade Marks Induction of Over 1,100 Agniveers into Indian Army at Nagpur

The Brigade of The Guards Regimental Centre, Nagpur, conducted the Attestation Parade of Guards Agniveers Batch-08 on 20th June 2026 (Saturday), marking the successful completion of military training by 1,107 Agniveers and their induction into the Indian Army as trained soldiers.

Maj Gen Navtej S. Sohal, SM, General Officer Commanding, Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area, reviewed the parade and interacted with the newly inducted soldiers. Addressing the gathering, he commended the Agniveers for successfully completing their rigorous training and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of discipline, professionalism and service to the nation.

The Attestation Parade is a significant milestone in a soldier's journey, symbolising the transition from trainee to a fully trained member of the Indian Army. The ceremony showcased the precision, discipline and military skills acquired by the Agniveers during their training at the Regimental Centre.

The event reflected the commitment of the Brigade of The Guards Regimental Centre towards nurturing physically fit, mentally resilient and professionally competent soldiers capable of meeting the evolving challenges of modern military operations.

The successful completion of training by Batch-08 adds another group of motivated young soldiers to the ranks of the Indian Army, ready to serve the nation with dedication and honour.
