The programme commenced with floral tributes to the portrait of the legendary physician, educationist and former Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, whose birth and death anniversaries are commemorated as National Doctors' Day in India. Senior doctors and hospital officials paid homage to his outstanding contribution to the medical profession and society, underscoring the pivotal role of doctors in safeguarding public health through dedicated and selfless service.

A special felicitation ceremony was organised to honour the doctors for their unwavering commitment, professional excellence and humanitarian service.
