In a landmark step toward the modernization of India’s maritime ecosystem, the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) and Egreen Quanta have entered into a Strategic Quantum Technology for Port Innovation Agreement to jointly develop and pilot Quantum-Enhanced Maritime Logistics Optimization solutions.

The agreement was formally signed at a program held at MPA, Vasco, today, in the presence of Dr. N. Vinodkumar, Chairperson, MPA; Shri Vinayaka Rao, Deputy Chairperson, MPA; and Dr. Kumar Gautam, Founder and Director, Egreen Quanta.

This strategic collaboration aligns with the Government of India’s national maritime transformation missions, including the Sagarmala Programme, PM Gati Shakti and Green Shipping Initiatives, establishing a collaborative framework to research, design, and deploy advanced quantum optimization algorithms, AI-driven analytics, and predictive logistics intelligence within the operational environment of Mormugao Port.

Under the agreement, both organizations will work towards the development of quantum-based vessel scheduling systems, optimization of cargo handling logistics, advanced data-driven port analytics, maritime supply chain intelligence and multimodal integration and enhancement of operational efficiency for smart and green port infrastructure.

As part of the collaboration, Mormugao Port Authority will facilitate coordination, provide access to non-sensitive operational datasets, and support pilot evaluation. Egreen Quanta will lead the development and deployment of quantum-enabled optimization models, analytical studies, and simulation frameworks while maintaining strict confidentiality of operational data.

The collaboration is expected to set a benchmark for quantum-enabled smart ports in India, supporting the nation’s transition toward technologically advanced, sustainable, and globally competitive maritime infrastructure.
