Kasaragod: The Central University of Kerala (CUK) has introduced two new four-year undergraduate honours programmes from the academic year 2026–27 to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for emerging careers in science and technology. The new programmes are B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics (Semiconductor), offered by the Department of Physics, and B.Sc. (Hons.) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, offered by the Department of Computer Science.
Candidates who have appeared for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) are eligible to apply. Online registration can be completed through the University's official website, www.cukerala.ac.in, until 17 July 2026.
The B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics (Semiconductor) programme provides students with a strong foundation in physics while developing advanced scientific, computational, and analytical skills. Designed in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the curriculum integrates classroom learning with laboratory training, research projects, internships, multidisciplinary electives, and skill-based courses, offering a comprehensive and application-oriented learning experience.
Graduates of the programme can pursue higher studies, including M.Sc., Integrated Ph.D., and Ph.D. programmes, in leading institutions in India and abroad. The programme also prepares students for careers in research laboratories, the semiconductor industry, space and nuclear sciences, defence research, photonics, quantum technologies, renewable energy, medical physics, artificial intelligence, data science, and scientific instrumentation.
The B.Sc. (Hons.) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence programme has been designed to meet the growing demand for professionals in the rapidly evolving digital economy. The curriculum combines a strong foundation in computer science with specialised training in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analytics, and industry-oriented applications through project-based learning and internships.
The programme prepares graduates for careers as Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, AI Consultants, and Research Associates in leading technology companies, startups, research organisations, and government agencies. It also provides a strong academic foundation for higher studies, research, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Central University of Kerala Opens Registration for Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes
Kasaragod: The Central University of Kerala (CUK) has commenced online registration for admission to four-year undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2026-27. Candidates who have appeared for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) are eligible to apply.
Online registration can be completed through the University’s official website, www.cukerala.ac.in, and will remain open until 17 July 2026. The registration fee is Rs. 500 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories. Candidates opting for additional programmes are required to pay an extra Rs. 100 for each programme selected.
The University offers B.Sc. (Hons.) Biology, B.Com. (Hons.) Financial Analytics, B.C.A. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics (Semiconductor), and B.Sc. (Hons.) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at its Periye Campus. The B.A. (Hons.) International Relations programme is offered at the University’s Thiruvananthapuram Capital Centre.
The provisional rank list will be published on 21 and 22 July 2026. Candidates may submit complaints, if any, via email to admissions@cukerala.ac.in. The final rank list will be released on 23 July 2026. Admissions will be conducted in three phases from 24 to 26 July, 27 to 28 July, and 29 to 31 July 2026. Central University of Kerala Extends ITEP Registration Deadline
Kasaragod: The Central University of Kerala (CUK), Periye, has extended the registration deadline for admission to its Four-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programmes (ITEP) for the academic year 2026-27 until 13 July 2026.
Candidates who have appeared for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) are eligible to apply. Online registration can be completed through the University's official website, www.cukerala.ac.in.
The University offers B.Sc. B.Ed. (Physics), B.Sc. B.Ed. (Zoology), B.A. B.Ed. (English), B.A. B.Ed. (Economics), and B.Com. B.Ed. programmes under the ITEP.
