In a significant step towards enhancing youth employability and strengthening industry participation, the Department of Youth Affairs through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), in collaboration with Ministry of Corporate Affairs is facilitating awareness and mobilisation for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) through the MY Bharat digital platform and nationwide volunteer network.

As part of this collaboration, a dedicated Prime Minister Internship Scheme Volunteer Opportunity has been published on the MY Bharat Portal, enabling eligible youth across the country to learn about the Scheme and seamlessly access the PMIS Portal for registration and application.

The initiative has witnessed encouraging participation from youth across the country. Up to 16.07.2026, a total of 98,632 youth have been redirected through the PMIS Volunteer Opportunity published on the MY Bharat Portal to PMIS Portal for registration of application. The State and Union Territory-wise details of the redirected youth are provided in the Annexure.

To further strengthen outreach and facilitate direct interaction between youth and industry, the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) in partnership with MY Bharat has organized three outreach and internship camps to connect youth with internship opportunities offered by partner companies and organizations. These camps enabled direct engagement between candidates and companies, helping the youth learn about available roles, understand industry expectations, and complete application formalities. The details of the participation in the above camps is as follows:-

The collaboration between MY Bharat and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs advances the vision of a Skilled and Employable Bharat by providing a structured pathway for youth to access industry internship opportunities through a nationwide digital platform supported by outreach and mobilisation efforts. It facilitates greater awareness, expands access to internship opportunities and strengthens linkages between youth, industry and Government initiatives. These efforts contribute to enhancing youth employability and support the larger vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 by enabling India's youth to become skilled, future-ready and active contributors to the nation's socio-economic development.
