MSME-Development and Facilitation Office, Chennai, a field outfit of Ministry of MSME, Government of India is organizing “MSME Connect 2026-Tiruchirappalli” – a National level Vendor Development Programme cum Industrial Exhibition at National Institute of Technology, Trichy on 31.07.2026 and 01.08.2026.  The event is organized by MSME-DFO, Chennai in association with National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy, Federation of Associations of Small Industries in India (FASII) and other MSME Associations in Trichy district.

The objective of the event is to provide a new horizon of procurement and marketing support to MSMEs thus ensuring effective implementation of Public Procurement Policy of Government of India.

Ministry of MSME, Government of India is promoting MSMEs to become vendors to Govt organizations / industries through initiatives of Public Procurement Policy which envisages the Central Government Ministries, Departments and Public Sector Undertakings to procure minimum of 25% of their annual procurement of goods or services from Micro and Small Enterprises. A sub-target of 4% procurement is earmarked for procurement from MSEs owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs and 3% from MSEs owned by Women entrepreneurs.

The list of potential exhibitors includes OFT, HEPF, BHEL-Trichy, Souther Railway-Trichy Division, IRCTC, CPCL, ISRO, AAI, India Post, Corporation of Trichy, NIT Trichy, NIFTEM, IGCAR, SIDBI, TIIC, ZED MSME, GeM, NSIC SC/ST Hub, Startup TN, and TABIF.

On the side lines of the Industrial Exhibition, Technical Seminars will be held on both the days handled by senior officials of PSUs detailed about their product requirement and procurement procedures.

A footfall of 2000 nos. of entrepreneurs, potential entrepreneurs and research students are expected on both the days of the event.
