The details of scheme/initiatives undertaken by the Government to boost production and manufacturing of space technology in India are as under;

1. Introduction of a liberalized Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy for the space sector.
2. Implementation of a discounted pricing policy to enable Non-Government Entities (NGEs) to access ISRO facilities.
3. Establishment of a ₹1,000 crore Venture Capital (VC) Fund to support space start-ups.
4. Launch of the ₹500 crore Technology Adoption Fund (TAF) to accelerate the development, demonstration, and commercialization of indigenous space technologies.
5. Facilitation of access to ISRO infrastructure, technical expertise, and mentorship to support private sector growth.
6. Launch of skill development initiatives to address the evolving workforce requirements of the space sector.
7. Establishment of a Technical Centre to provide affordable testing, validation, and simulation facilities for space systems.
8. Enabling transfer of ISRO-developed technologies to industry for commercialization.
9. Providing opportunities to validate space technologies through the PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM) platform.
10. Launch of the "Satellite Bus as a Service (SBaaS)" initiative to develop indigenous satellite platform capabilities and accelerate satellite development.
11. Encouraging state government to establish the manufacturing clusters as well as common testing facilities to boost manufacturing.

As the private space sector in India is currently in a nascent, developmental phase, government interventions are primarily focused on creating baseline infrastructure, facilitating technology transfer, developing technologies, and promoting investments.

IN-SPACe creates awareness and promotes its various schemes, policies, and initiatives through multiple outreach platforms, including industry interaction meetings, Space technology Adoption and Awareness Workshops (SAAW), task-specific webinars, stakeholder consultations, conferences, exhibitions, and periodic publications. These initiatives facilitate engagement with Non-Government Entities (NGEs), academia, startups, MSMEs, and other stakeholders, while disseminating information on policy reforms, funding opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and capacity-building programmes.
