Awareness session on the Four Labour Codes held at BEL, Bengaluru

An awareness session on the Four Labour Codes was conducted on 6 August 2026 at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bengaluru. The programme was organized in a hybrid mode, with employees attending in person at the BEL Academy for Excellence, while officials from other BEL factories participated virtually. Members of the Human Resources and Legal functions, along with contractors, also attended the session. Among the dignitaries present were Shri Ramkumar B, General Manager (HR–Corporate) and Shri T. N. Singh, General Manager (HR–Bangalore Complex), along with other senior officials.

The technical session was delivered by Shri S. K. Mohanty, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Bengaluru, and Shri B. Parivallal, Labour Enforcement Officer (Central), Bengaluru. The speakers provided a comprehensive overview of the Four Labour Codes, covering the objectives of the labour law reforms, the salient features of each Code, and their implications for employers and employees. Special emphasis was laid on statutory compliance, key provisions of the Codes and the measures required for their effective implementation.
The programme was presided over by Shri Chetan Patil, Assistant General Manager (HR–Corporate), Bengaluru, who highlighted the importance of creating awareness among Human Resources professionals, contractors and employees to facilitate the smooth and effective implementation of the new labour law framework.

The session was highly informative and interactive. Participants actively engaged in the discussions and sought clarifications on various practical aspects relating to labour law compliance under the Four Labour Codes. The programme was well received by the participants and significantly contributed to strengthening awareness and preparedness for the effective implementation of the new labour law regime. More than 120 employees participated physically in the programme, including 30 women employees.
