PRAYATNA is a flagship initiative of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) to foster scientific writing skills among Ayurveda PG/Ph.D Scholars. The scheme is aimed at improving the quality of publications in the Ayurveda sector for effective dissemination and high-impact publications.
In this scheme, the colleges / Institutes apply through the expression of interest (EoI) followed by the two online orientation sessions focusing on the basics of scientific writing, followed by individual manuscript assistance to the Scholars. After the review, a physical workshop of 3 days is conducted at the Institutes to provide hands-on support to the Scholars and culminating in publication-ready manuscripts.
CCRAS Digital Initiatives Dashboard has been developed by Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) as an integrated platform for showcasing the Council's web-based and digital resources to improve their accessibility and for facilitating dissemination of research outputs and institutional resources on a single web-based platform. The dashboard is available at dashboard.ccras.org.in.
The dashboard has various sections such as Office suite, CCRAS Institute Websites, CCRAS Internal applications, Web portal - Informatics & Point of Care applications, Web portal - Knowledge & Literature, Web portal – Schemes, Web portal – Others, Mobile applications, Project specific applications, Applications under testing, CCRAS Journals, Social media pages and Web portal - legacy version long with a search functionality.
The details of the accreditation of CCRAS Institutes under the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) and the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) are enclosed as Annexure I.
The details of the Research Methodology textbook developed under Ayurved Prabodhini series are given in Annexure -II.

Description of the book of CCRAS entitled ‘A Textbook of Research Methodology’
Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is the apex body of Ministry of Ayush engaged in the formulation, coordination, development, and promotion of research on scientific lines in the Ayurveda. This year, it has come up with a comprehensive text book under its ‘Ayurved Prabodhini Granthamala series’ on Research methodology especially in line with Outcome-based dynamic curriculum for the postgraduate scholars pursuing MD/ MS Ayurveda implemented by the National Commission For Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
The syllabus for Research methodology has been designed keeping in view the utmost need to inculcate deep understanding and application of Ayurvedic fundamentals among the postgraduate students. The syllabus has been meticulously planned to offer students with a comprehensive insight into literature search, framing research questions, stating hypotheses, research design, data analysis, ethical considerations, and scientific writing.
There are twenty-one chapters in this book, designed to address the requirements as per different units of the respective six modules. This book is the outcome of joint effort of 34 scientists and 16 faculty comprising senior professors, domain experts and Research professionals from both Ayush and modern scientific streams. Each chapter has undergone through three stages i.e. structured drafting, peer review and phased editorial refinement.
This is the first of its kind effort of CCRAS to have a publication in this subject so as to ignite the postgraduate minds and make them competent with the research knowhow and associated skills for building a better career in Research in future.
This information was given by Union Minister of State (I/C) for Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav in Rajya Sabha today.
