Access to quality education can play an important role in helping students pursue their aspirations and build better opportunities for the future. However, for students from families with limited incomes, financial difficulties can become a major challenge in meeting college expenses and continuing higher education.

Demonstrating how scholarship assistance can provide relief to students facing economic challenges, Ms Yelukuru Sudeeksha, an 18-year-old student belonging to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category, is pursuing her second year of B.Tech. education. Coming from a middle-class family, she faced difficulties in managing her college fees regularly as her father had to meet household and family expenses with a limited income. Paying the entire fee amount at once was a major challenge, creating financial pressure and uncertainty for the family. Despite these difficulties, Sudeeksha remained determined to complete her education successfully and work towards a stable and respectable career.

In 2025-26, scholarship assistance of ₹4,85,000 was provided to Sudeeksha. The support helped her pay her college fees independently without completely depending on her parents for financial support. It reduced the financial burden on her family and enabled her to continue her education with greater confidence and focus on her academic goals.

With the financial burden related to her college fees reduced, Sudeeksha has been able to continue her B.Tech. education with greater confidence. The scholarship support has helped address an important financial challenge and allowed her to concentrate on her studies while working towards her career aspirations.

Sudeeksha's story highlights how timely scholarship assistance can provide meaningful support to students facing financial constraints. By reducing the pressure of educational expenses, the support has enabled her to continue her higher education and pursue her aspiration of securing a good job with a stable and respectable salary package, so that she can support her family financially and contribute towards improving their overall living conditions.
