Presently 90,276 civil servants from West Bengal have been onboarded on the iGOT Karmayogi platform. The Government of West Bengal has not yet signed the tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under Mission Karmayogi.
So far, eight draft Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) have been prepared for Government of West Bengal's priority departments. The iGOT Karmayogi digital learning platform hosts over 5,600 courses covering domain, functional and behavioural competencies. These courses are available for consumption for all registered users including those from West Bengal. As on date, 10,493 course completions have been recorded by learners from West Bengal. Further, all employees of the Central Government and officers of the All India Services, including those serving in West Bengal have to mandatorily complete prescribed courses annually on iGOT which gets reflected in their respective APARs for the corresponding period.
The DoPT, along with the other implementing agencies of Mission Karmayogi – Capacity Building Commission (CBC), and SPV Karmayogi Bharat (KB) are supporting the Government of West Bengal in its capacity building initiatives including handholding for the adoption of the role-based competency framework, onboarding on the iGOT platform, and integrating iGOT with other HR platforms/tools. A Programme Coordinator from CBC and an Assistant Manager from KB serve as Nodal Officers for the state of West Bengal for this purpose. DoPT also supports targeted capacity building activities in all states/UTs, including West Bengal, through the Training for All (TFA) scheme.
This information was given by the Minister of State (Ind. Charge) Science & Technology; Earth Sciences and Minister of State PMO; Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy and Space Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
