EPFO REGIONAL OFFICE, MYSURU LAUNCHES “EMPLOYEES’ ENROLMENT CAMPAIGN (EEC) 2026” TO EXPAND SOCIAL SECURITY COVERAGE

प्रविष्टि तिथि: 14 AUG 2026 4:36PM by PIB Bengaluru

The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Regional Office, Mysuru, has formally launched the Employees' Enrolment Campaign (EEC), 2026. This special one-time compliance facilitation drive aims to extend statutory social security coverage to eligible employees while encouraging voluntary compliance among employers across the region. The initiative will remain active for a limited period until October 31, 2026.

Under this campaign, employers are enabled to voluntarily enroll eligible employees, who remained outside EPF coverage between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2026, thereby extending statutory social security benefits while promoting voluntary compliance under the EPF & MP Act. To facilitate smooth participation, the campaign offers significant compliance relief to employers. Where the employee's share of the EPF contribution was not deducted from wages, the same shall be completely waived, requiring employers to remit only the employer's share of contribution alongside applicable interest, administrative charges, and a nominal damage fee of ₹100. Overall, the initiative seeks to expand social security coverage and foster formal employment in the region.

To participate, employers are required to complete the enrolment process digitally through the EPFO Employer Portal using the dedicated EEC-2026 module. The streamlined online process includes submitting a digital declaration, generating Universal Account Numbers (UAN) via Face Authentication technology, filing the Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR), and completing the digital submission of all required declarations.

Highlighting the scope and significance of the campaign, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Mysuru, stated that the Employees' Enrolment Campaign provides employers with a unique opportunity to regularize eligible employees while extending essential provident fund, pension, and insurance benefits to them. The Commissioner urged all eligible establishments across the region to avail themselves of the scheme before the final deadline of October 31, 2026.

To ensure seamless implementation and assist establishments in completing the enrolment process, EPFO Mysuru has been actively conducting awareness programmes, employer outreach meetings, and stakeholder interactions throughout the region. Employers seeking further information or assistance are encouraged to visit the official EPFO Employer Portal or directly contact the EPFO Regional Office in Mysuru.
