As part of its Independence Day celebrations, BSNL is pleased to announce a series of new customer-centric initiatives and special offerings aimed at enhancing customer experience, expanding digital services and making advanced connectivity and entertainment more accessible to citizens across the country.

Strengthening the Network — Nationwide 4G Expansion & Enhanced Customer Experience

Reinforcing its commitment to world-class, indigenous connectivity, BSNL has significantly strengthened its mobile network. The Company has ordered over 26,300 additional 4G BTS (Base Transceiver Station) sites for deployment across the country, further widening its 4G footprint into more towns, villages and remote areas. Alongside this expansion, BSNL’s 4G network has been comprehensively optimised — delivering improved network quality, wider and more consistent coverage, faster data speeds and better call performance, and a markedly enhanced overall customer experience — on a fully indigenous, 5G-upgradable technology stack.

Independence Day Special Announcements

1. Re. 1 Freedom 2.0 Offer

As a special Independence Day initiative, BSNL introduces the Re. 1 Freedom 2.0 Offer, enabling new customers to experience the BSNL mobile network for just Re. 1.

Under the offer, customers get:

• 1 GB data per day
• 100 SMS per day
• Unlimited voice calls
• 24 days validity

The offer is designed to make it easier and more affordable for customers to experience BSNL’s mobile services and join India’s trusted telecom network.

2. BSNL Fibre Freedom Plan – Launch Offer at ₹1,111 per Month

BSNL introduces the Fibre Freedom Plan, offering a premium broadband and entertainment experience at a special launch price of ₹1,111 per month.The plan offers:

• Internet speeds up to 200 Mbps
• 5,000 GB monthly data
• Access to 25+ premium OTT platforms
• A comprehensive broadband and digital entertainment experience through a single connection

The initiative further strengthens BSNL’s commitment to delivering high-speed, affordable and value-driven broadband services to customers.

3. Launch of New Selfcare Mobile App for Customers

BSNL has revamped its Selfcare Mobile App, “BSNL Selfcare New,” on Android and iOS platforms, offering customers a convenient, user-friendly digital experience. The app enables services such as prepaid recharge, postpaid and landline bill payments, complaint registration and tracking, DND management, payment history, Fibre booking requests, AI chatbot support, voice search, multiple account management, and access to BSNL Entertainment TV, all through a single platform.

4. BSNL Free Entertainment TV (Powered by Tango TV)

BSNL mobile subscribers can now enjoy around 500 Live TV channels –‘BSNL Free Entertainment TV’, powered by Tango TV, free of cost for all our beloved customers, through its new BSNL Selfcare App.

The service provides access to a wide range of live television channels and on-demand entertainment content, enabling BSNL customers to enjoy digital entertainment conveniently through their mobile devices.

5. BSNL Satellite Phone Services

BSNL provides Global Satellite Phone Service (GSPS) using satellite connectivity, enabling voice communication in locations where conventional terrestrial mobile networks may not be available.

The service is particularly relevant for remote, geographically challenging and communication-sensitive locations, further reinforcing BSNL’s role in ensuring connectivity across diverse terrains and regions of the country.

6. Additional validity on Plan ₹2399

As part of its Independence Day celebrations, BSNL is offering an additional 47 days of validity in its yearly plan (365+47=412 Days ) on ₹2,399 annual prepaid plan, further enhancing the value for customers for a limited period.

Under the offer, customers will enjoy extended service validity along with the existing benefits of the ₹2,399 plan, making it an attractive proposition for BSNL subscribers.

7. BSNL–Polycab Partnership — Make in India Telecom Manufacturing 

BSNL has partnered with Polycab to advance indigenous telecom manufacturing under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. At the heart of the collaboration is Polycab's Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) — a state-of-the-art assembly and manufacturing facility for telecom and networking equipment [cameras/ONTs/Routers etc] — producing reliable, made-in-India hardware.

Delivered through an innovative Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) model, the partnership enables BSNL to assist in roll out scalable, cost-effective and future-ready infrastructure without heavy upfront investment both for BSNL and others— while strengthening domestic manufacturing and self-reliance in India's telecom sector.
