CHEMCONNECT 2026, a one-day Industry-Academia Event, will be held Tomorrow, at the Student Activity Centre (SAC) Hall, IIT Madras.

The event is jointly organized by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras in order to facilitate 18 CoE established by the Department.

The event is being organised by the Centre of Excellence in Biodegradable Packaging Materials (CoE BioPack), and Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras in collaboration with CIPET.

The event serves as an inventors-and-industry meet designed to facilitate direct dialogue without intermediaries. The event brings DCPC’s Centres of Excellence together with companies ready to commercialize innovations, offering a structured platform for industry leaders, start-ups, MSMEs, researchers, policymakers, incubators, and investors seeking strategic partnerships.

During the event, technologies, prototypes, and patents from Centres of Excellence established under the DCPC scheme "Setting up of Centres of Excellence (CoE) in the field of Chemicals and Petrochemicals" will be showcased.

Principal Investigators from CoEs will exhibit their work at dedicated stalls and interact directly with industry representatives to explore opportunities for collaboration, licensing, and technology transfer.
