NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power utility and a Maharatna enterprise, has announced its flagship annual competition, the Electron Quiz 2026–27. Themed ‘The World of Business & Management’, the initiative aims to foster intellectual growth and critical-thinking skills among engineering and management students.

Organized since 2004, the quiz will feature regional rounds across nine cities— Chennai, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Noida—from September 5 to October 5, 2026. Regional winners will receive cash prizes of Rs.60,000, Rs.40,000, and Rs.20,000 for top three spots respectively, alongside consolation rewards.

The top two two-member teams from each region will progress to the National Semi-Finals on October 7, culminating in the Grand Finale on October 8, 2026, at NTPC’s Power Management Institute (PMI). National finalists will compete for top awards of Rs.1,00,000, Rs.60,000 and Rs.40,000 along with prize money for all semi-finalists.

With an installed capacity exceeding 91 GW, NTPC continues to lead India's energy transition while investing in student engagement, aiming for 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032 alongside emerging clean technologies.
