The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) operationalized a new state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) at Tiruvannamalai today, expanding resident-centric identity services in the district. The facility was inaugurated by Chief Guest Tmt. Vandana Garg, District Collector of Tiruvannamalai, alongside the Director (Tamil Nadu) of UIDAI Regional Office Bengaluru, representatives from M/s Protean, and local officials.
Equipped with four operational kits, the Tiruvannamalai ASK provides a single-window interface for new enrolments, demographic and biometric updates, and grievance redressal. The center operates on all days except public holidays, featuring inclusive facilities such as wheelchair accessibility and dedicated support systems. It will also record resident grievances for resolution through the Regional Office.
With this launch, UIDAI now operates 13 ASKs across Tamil Nadu, with 17 additional facilities scheduled to open shortly to reach a total footprint of 30 UIDAI-run centers in the state. Managed by M/s Protean eGov Technologies Limited, the center supports pre-booked online appointments via the official portal (https://bookappointment.uidai.gov.in).
