Two-Day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme Concludes at Maduranthakam

A two-day special Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) cum Awareness and Beneficiary Registration Camp on Central Government Welfare Schemes successfully concluded at Maduranthakam in Chengalpattu district. Organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event was hosted  from September 2 to 3, 2026, to generate public awareness and facilitate on-the-spot enrollment into key welfare initiatives.

The camp was inaugurated on September 2 by Chief Guest Mr. Narendran, Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Maduranthakam, alongside Mr. J. Kamaraj, Director, CBC (Tamil Nadu & Andaman region), and other key local administrative officials. Specialized exhibition stalls were established by various government departments, including ICDS, India Post, RSETI, Jan Aushadhi Kendra, CSC, and the District Employment Office, enabling direct interaction with the public.

During the valedictory session on September 3, officials awarded course completion certificates to RSETI paper bag making trainees, distributed Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) and e-Shram cards to eligible beneficiaries, and felicitated quiz competition winners. Over the two-day event, the camp processed 703 citizen service transactions, including 643 CSC registrations across schemes like ABHA, e-Shram, PM-SYM, and National Career Service, along with 60 Aadhaar update and correction services conducted by the Indian Postal Department.
