The Welfare Commissionerate, Bangalore, has issued a press notification regarding the extension of timelines for the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme providing financial assistance for education to the wards of Beedi, Cinema, and Iron Ore/Manganese/Chrome/Limestone & Dolomite Mine workers on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for the Academic Year (AY) 2026–27.

As per the revised schedule, the last date for the receipt of online applications on the portal has been extended up to September 30, 2026. Furthermore, the deadline for Institution Nodal Officer (INO Level 1) verification is fixed as October 15, 2026, while the District Nodal Officer and State Nodal Officer (DNO/SNO Level 2) verification can be completed until October 31, 2026.

All eligible applicants and concerned nodal officers are advised to ensure submission and verification within these extended dates.
