Demonstrating the positive impact of the National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste (NFSC) Students Scheme, Babli, a 32-year-old scholar from South East Delhi, has continued working towards her aspiration of building an academic career and producing valuable research outcomes. The fellowship has strengthened her confidence and supported her pursuit of higher education.

Before receiving assistance under the NFSC Scheme, Babli faced financial constraints that affected her ability to pursue her academic goals. Coming from a lower-middle-income family, she had to navigate economic limitations while working towards a career in academics and research.

In January 2021, Babli began receiving assistance under the NFSC Scheme. She availed fellowship, House Rent Allowance and contingency support amounting to approximately Rs. 25 lakh. The fellowship brought significant financial relief and helped ease the broader social challenges associated with economic hardship. The support strengthened her confidence and enabled her to continue her academic journey with greater security and focus.
