Defence Accounts Department (DAD) has achieved a remarkable milestone in the normalization of discrepant pension cases on SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha) through a focused and concentrated approach. As part of a special drive, undertaken in mission mode with close monitoring, focused examination of cases and coordinated action by the concerned offices, the Department has successfully normalized all 1,45,182 discrepant cases pertaining to the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.

The cases normalized include:

• Indian Air Force: 1,12,638 cases – 100%
• Indian Navy: 32,544 cases – 100%

The Department has simultaneously made substantial progress in normalization of discrepant cases pertaining to the Indian Army; Out of a total of 3,94,779 discrepant cases, 3,90,336 cases, constituting 98.8%, have already been normalized on SPARSH.

The achievement is a reflection of the dedication, coordinated efforts and result-oriented approach of DAD, particularly the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension) [PCDA (Pension)], towards strengthening the SPARSH ecosystem.
