53 Youth Receive Appointment Letters at Rozgar Mela in Panaji


Union Minister of State Shripad Naik distributes appointment letters to newly recruited youth in Goa

Panaji, September 19, 2026:

As part of the nationwide 20th Rozgar Mela, more than 51,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly appointed youth in various government organisations by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through video conferencing today. In Goa, a Rozgar Mela was organised by the Commissionerate of CGST & Customs, Goa, at Panaji.

Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shri Shripad Naik graced the programme and distributed appointment letters to 53 newly recruited youth appointed to various Central Government organisations and offices in Goa.

Commissioner of CGST & Customs, Goa, Shri Subodh Singh, along with senior officials, dignitaries, newly appointed employees and their family members, attended the programme. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the live interaction and address of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through video conferencing across country.

The 53 newly appointed youth will begin their careers across a range of important Central Government institutions, including Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, Airports Authority of India, Department of Posts, Railways, CBDT, Customs and IIT Goa.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Shripad Naik congratulated the newly appointed employees and highlighted the importance of public service and responsibility. He said that a government appointment is not merely a job opportunity but also an opportunity to serve citizens and contribute to nation-building.

He encouraged the young recruits to continuously upgrade their skills and adapt to emerging technologies, particularly in areas such as digital technology, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, banking, railways, aviation, education and renewable energy.

The Union Minister also acknowledged the contribution of parents, families, teachers and mentors in the success of the newly appointed youth.

The Rozgar Mela provided an opportunity for the newly recruited employees and their families to mark the beginning of a new phase of their professional journey. The programme also highlighted the role of youth in strengthening public service and contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

The newly appointed employees expressed their views on the development initiatives of the Government of India and shared their experiences on receiving appointment letters through the Rozgar Mela initiative.

Rozgar Mela reflects the Government’s continued focus on creating employment opportunities for the youth and ensuring their greater participation in the country’s development journey. With the 20th Rozgar Mela, a total of about 12.75 lakh youth will have received appointment letters in various Departments and Government Organisations.
