Palampur, September 21, 2026: Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya Palampur, organized a ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Samvad’ under the joint aegis of the Students’ Welfare Organization. The programme focused on the role of youth in nation building, social responsibility and their active participation in realizing the vision of a developed India.
The Chief Guest, Prof. S. K. Yadav, Director, CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (CSIR-IHBT), addressed the students and emphasized the importance of an active and constructive role of youth in the development of the country. He called upon students to contribute to nation building through knowledge, innovation,
discipline and social responsibility.
The key speaker, Dr. Yogendra Pratap Dhama, Head, Department of Sanskrit, Himachal Pradesh Central University, Dharamshala, engaged the students in an interactive
session on the role of youth in building a ‘Viksit Bharat’. He urged the youth to embrace ‘Panch Parivartan’ social harmony, family awareness, environmental conservation,
indigenous practices and civic duties in their lives. He emphasized that youth are the future of the country and that their active and constructive participation is vital for the overall development of the nation.
University students participated enthusiastically in the programme and shared their views on various aspects of nation building, youth power, social responsibility and the vision of a developed India. The interaction provided an opportunity for students to deliberate on the role of youth and their contribution towards the overall development of the country. Dr. Kamal Dev, Dr. Rajan Katoch, Dr. Anjali Sood, Dr. Rakesh Chauhan and Sh. Ajit Kumar, among others, were also present on the occasion.
Concluding the programme, Prof. Jai Dev, Students’ Welfare Officer, expressed gratitude to all the guests, speakers, organizers and participants for their contribution to the successful conduct of the programme. He stated that the country’s youth, as “370 million growth engines,” are ready to play a leading role in building a developed India. He also emphasized the need to channelize the energy, talent and creativity of young people towards nation building.
