As the country prepares to observe the 11th Ayurveda Day on September 23, nationwide public participation has gathered momentum under the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow”. More than 9,700 activities have been reported across 30 States and Union Territories, with over 3.6 lakh participants registered through the official Ayurveda Day website. Nearly 89.3 lakh citizens have also pledged their support for Ayurveda through the Ayurveda Day 2026 microsite.

The Ayurveda Day 2026 microsite, available at ayurvedaday.org.in, serves as a digital platform for citizen participation, registration and reporting of activities being organised as part of the nationwide celebrations.

States including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have recorded substantial participation, reflecting the extensive engagement of States and Union Territories in the nationwide observance.

A wide range of activities is being organised to promote awareness about Ayurveda and encourage community participation. Ayurveda awareness programmes, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities, public outreach programmes and Ayurveda health and wellness camps are among the prominent activities being reported.

Other activities include medicinal plant plantation and conservation drives, Ayurveda awareness programmes in schools and colleges, youth engagement initiatives, campaigns promoting Ayurveda Ahara and healthy dietary practices, citizen pledge campaigns and Ayurveda quizzes.

These initiatives are bringing together citizens, educational institutions, communities and various organisations through awareness, wellness and engagement activities, providing opportunities for wider public participation in the Ayurveda Day celebrations.

The 11th Ayurveda Day 2026 has also witnessed participation beyond India, with activities reported from 10 countries and territories and involving more than 1,900 participants.

The participating countries and territories include the British Indian Ocean Territory, the United Kingdom, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Spain, Algeria, Australia, Denmark, Iceland and the United States of America.

The international participation reflects the growing outreach of Ayurveda Day and the involvement of communities, institutions and organisations beyond India in activities centred on Ayurveda awareness, wellness and public engagement.
