Submission of IGNOU December 2026 Term-End Examination Forms Begins

The process for submission of examination forms for the December 2026 Term-End Examination (TEE) conducted by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced. The December 2026 Term-End Examination for learners enrolled in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes will commence from 25 November 2026.

All eligible learners enrolled in various academic programmes of IGNOU may submit their Theory Examination Forms up to 30 September 2026 without late fee. Thereafter, learners may submit their examination forms with the prescribed late fee up to 15 October 2026. Learners are advised to submit their examination forms well within the prescribed timeline and not wait until the last date.

Separate Provision for Project, Internship and Practical Courses:

From the December 2026 Term-End Examination, a separate provision has been made for submission of examination forms for Project, Internship and Practical Courses. Learners whose programmes include such courses are required to submit separate examination forms for the respective courses through the Samarth Portal.

The last date for submission of examination forms for these courses is 30 November 2026. No examination forms for Project, Internship and Practical Courses will be accepted after this date. The online facility for submission of projects and for practical examinations has also been made available.

Examination Forms to be Submitted through Samarth Student Portal:

All eligible learners are required to submit their examination forms through the Samarth Student Portal. Learners who have not yet registered on the Student Portal should first complete their registration through the New Registration option and thereafter submit the examination form.

Learners are advised to carefully select the examination mode, courses and examination centre while filling in the examination form. They are also advised to check their June 2026 Term-End Examination result before submitting the examination form and carefully read the detailed instructions available on the Samarth Portal.

The examination fee once deposited will not be refunded. Requests arising from a date clash due to courses belonging to the same group or backlog courses will not be considered as per the prescribed University rules.

16 Examination Centres across Different Districts:

Dr. Anshuman Upadhyay, Senior Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Bhopal, stated that 16 examination centres have been established under the Regional Centre for the December 2026 Term-End Examination. The examinations will be conducted at various locations, including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Mandsaur, Jhabua, Shivpuri, Mhow and Khandwa.

IGNOU Regional Centre, Bhopal has also established examination centres at four Central Jails located at Bhopal, Ujjain, Narmadapuram and Indore. These centres will facilitate learners enrolled with IGNOU who are currently lodged in jails to appear in their Term-End Examinations smoothly.

Learners enrolled in Practical and Laboratory Courses and the Bachelor of Library and Information Science programme will be informed separately by IGNOU Regional Centre, Bhopal regarding the venue and schedule of their practical examinations.
