As part of the 85th Foundation Day celebrations of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC), Chennai, has transferred its indigenously developed Eco-Friendly Geopolymer Concrete Block technology to M/s. Archana Blocks, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar district.

The formal agreement was executed between Dr. N. Anandavalli, Director, CSIR-SERC, and Smt. K. Archana, Proprietor of M/s. Archana Blocks. Developed as a sustainable alternative to conventional cement-based construction products, the geopolymer concrete block technology aims to lower carbon footprints and support environmentally responsible infrastructure development.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. N. Anandavalli emphasized CSIR-SERC’s commitment to translating laboratory research into commercialized industrial applications. The technology transfer event was attended by Dr. S. Parivallal, Scientist G and Advisor, alongside senior officials from CSIR-SERC and representatives from M/s. Archana Blocks, including Shri Karthik S. R. and Shri Aksatram S. K.
