RRU Bhopal Campus Marks Foundation Day with Landmark MoU

In a significant step towards strengthening the national security, cyber security and law-enforcement ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Bhopal Campus, and the Government of Madhya Pradesh entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, 22 September 2026, in Bhopal.

The landmark occasion was held in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, and Hon’ble Technical Education Minister, Shri Inder Singh Parmar, along with senior officials, academic leaders and representatives of RRU.

The MoU marks an important milestone in the development and expansion of the RRU Bhopal Campus and coincides with the Foundation Day of the RRU Bhopal Campus, making the occasion particularly significant for the University and the State of Madhya Pradesh.

Strengthening National Security and Cyber Security Capabilities

The collaboration between RRU and the Government of Madhya Pradesh is aimed at developing a strong ecosystem for national security education, cyber security, policing, defence-related training, research and capacity building.

A key component of the initiative includes land allocation for the development and expansion of the RRU Bhopal Campus, providing the foundation for establishing modern academic, training, research and security infrastructure.

The proposed development will support the creation of a strong cyber security environment, including specialised academic and training facilities aimed at addressing the rapidly evolving challenges of cybercrime, digital threats, cyber defence and information security.

The initiative is expected to strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s capacity to respond to emerging security challenges through advanced education, professional training, technology and research.

Training for Police, CRPF, CAPFs and Defence Personnel

The expanded RRU Bhopal ecosystem will also facilitate specialised training and capacity-building programmes for police officers, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), CRPF personnel, defence personnel and other security professionals.

The programmes will focus on contemporary areas including:

• Cyber security and cyber defence
• Digital forensics and investigation
• Police science and management
• Internal and national security
• Emerging security technologies
• Physical fitness and operational preparedness
• Professional development and specialised security training

RRU’s Bhopal Campus already offers programmes in areas including Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Police Science and Management and Strength & Conditioning.

The University’s broader mandate encompasses education, training, research and innovation in national security, internal security, policing, cyber security, forensic sciences.

RRU–RGPV Relationship Agreement

Another important development witnessed during the occasion was the Relationship Agreement between Rashtriya Raksha University and Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal.

The agreement is intended to further strengthen institutional cooperation between the two universities and facilitate collaboration in infrastructure, education, research, training, technology, innovation, academic activities and capacity building, particularly in areas relevant to security and emerging technologies.

RRU Bhopal currently operates from the RGPV campus at Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal, making the relationship between the two institutions particularly important for the development of a strong academic and research ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh.

The Foundation Day celebration and signing of the agreements mark an important new chapter in the journey of RRU Bhopal Campus.

The initiative brings together the strengths of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Rashtriya Raksha University and RGPV to create an integrated platform for security education, professional training, cyber security, research and innovation.

With the proposed infrastructure expansion and enhanced institutional cooperation, RRU Bhopal is positioned to contribute to the development of highly skilled professionals for policing, defence, cyber security and national security services.

The collaboration also reflects a shared commitment towards preparing security professionals and young graduates to address the increasingly complex challenges of the digital and physical security environment.

The Foundation Day of RRU Bhopal, therefore, marks not only a celebration of its journey but also the beginning of a new phase of expansion, collaboration and capacity building for national security in Madhya Pradesh.
