The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Charkop, Mumbai, under the aegis of Zonal Office Thane, Mumbai, organised an outreach programme at NPCIL, Tarapur Maharashtra Site, Palghar, to create awareness among employees and employers about the latest initiatives of the Government of India.

The programme was graced by Shri Ajay Kumar Bhole, Site Director, Tarapur Maharashtra Site, and Shri Animesh Mishra, Additional Central PF Commissioner, as Chief Guests.

In his address, Shri Animesh Mishra, Additional Central PF Commissioner, briefed the participants about four new initiatives and encouraged employers and employees to avail the benefits available under them.

PM-VBRY: The scheme promotes formal employment by providing incentives to eligible first-time employees and to employers generating additional employment. It seeks to encourage job creation and strengthen the organised workforce.

Employees’ Enrolment Campaign 2026: The campaign provides an opportunity for eligible establishments to enrol previously left-out employees, subject to the prescribed conditions. It promotes wider social-security coverage and regularisation of eligible employees.

VISHWAS Scheme 2026: The scheme facilitates settlement of eligible legacy damages cases through the prescribed relief mechanism. It encourages voluntary compliance and faster resolution of eligible disputes.

Enhanced Wage Ceiling: The EPFO wage ceiling has been enhanced to ₹25,000 per month, expanding the ambit of mandatory social-security coverage to a larger number of eligible employees.

Shri Nikheelchandra Anil Zode, Regional PF Commissioner-I; Shri Ayush Gautam, Regional PF Commissioner-II; and Shri Amritesh Srivastava, Head HR, Tarapur Maharashtra Site, were also present as distinguished guests. The programme was also attended by Shri Rajesh Kumar Patra, Dy. GM (HR); Shri Gaurav Dixit, Manager (HR); senior officials and employees of NPCIL; as well as contractors engaged at NPCIL, Tarapur.

Shri Nikheelchandra Anil Zode, Regional PF Commissioner-I, highlighted how these initiatives contribute towards formalisation, employment generation and wider social-security coverage, thereby supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat. Shri Bhavesh Nikumbh, Enforcement Officer, made a detailed presentation explaining the initiatives and their benefits. Questions raised by participants were addressed in detail by EPFO officials. In his concluding remarks, Shri A.K. Bhole, Site Director, thanked EPFO for visiting the NPCIL site, creating awareness about the new initiatives, addressing participants’ grievances and taking the initiative to bring EPFO services directly to the establishment. The programme reaffirmed EPFO’s commitment to stakeholder engagement, ease of compliance and wider delivery of social-security benefits.
