Grand Celebration of World Tourism Day 2026 at Indore Airport and Mandu

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, India Tourism Indore (Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India) in collaboration with tourism stakeholders TAAI (Travel Agents Association of India) and ADTOI (Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India) and in association with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), organized programmes at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Indore and at the historic Jahaz Mahal, Mandu.

1. At Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Indore
The programme began with a traditional welcome of arriving tourists by applying tilak. To make their travel experience memorable, surprise gifts were distributed among the tourists including Sweet Toffee, Incredible India printed T-Shirt, Laptop Bag, Coffee Mug and Happy World Tourism Day printed Sipper Bottle by TAAI.
On this occasion, Shri A. Gopal, Assistant Director, India Tourism Indore, Airport Director Shri Atul Singh, Shri Hemendra Singh, Shri Amit Navlani and other tourism stakeholders were present.

2. At Jahaz Mahal Monument, Mandu
Similarly, tourists arriving at the historic Jahaz Mahal monument in Mandu were also welcomed traditionally by applying tilak. Incredible India souvenirs and gifts were distributed at the monument. This was followed by a cleanliness drive organized in association with ASI at the Jahaz Mahal complex to create awareness about cleanliness among tourists.
On this occasion, Conservation Assistant, ASI Mandu, Tourist Information Officer along with other dignitaries and tourism stakeholders were present.
The celebration was organized to promote the message of "Atithi Devo Bhava" and "Swachh Bharat - Swachh Paryatan".
