Tamil Nadu is represented by 31 mementos in the PM Mementos e-Auction 2026, showcasing the state’s spiritual traditions, art, craftsmanship, historical legacy and sporting achievements.

Notable mementos from Tamil Nadu include:

Among the notable mementos is an Auspicious Framed Footprint from Kanyakumari, presented by the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The piece is associated with Sri Padhaparai, which is traditionally believed to bear the footprints of Goddess Kumari

A memento of Sant Shri Ramanujacharya Ji features an intricately detailed depiction of the philosopher and theologian in a teaching pose, reflecting his spiritual and intellectual legacy.

The collection also includes a Thiruvalluvar Chariot, a handcrafted model inspired by the traditional temple chariots of Tamil Nadu.

 

The sporting memorabilia includes a badminton racket associated with para-badminton player Nithya Sre Sivan, who won a medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, and a signed racket of Thulasimathi Murugesan, who won silver in badminton singles at the Paralympics.

 

The collection also features shoes associated with Mariyappan Thangavelu, a three-time Paralympic medallist in high jump.

 

Tamil Nadu’s devotional and artistic traditions are represented by a metallic Nataraja statue, depicting Lord Shiva in his cosmic dance.

 

A Tanjore-style Veena artwork, embellished with gold foil and Kundan stones, is another notable piece.

Other prominent entries include a traditional Tanjore painting of Lord Murugan, a gold-foil depiction of Lord Murugan, a framed devotional work featuring Sri Sowmya Narayana Perumal, and a brass presentation memento depicting the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple. Traditional textiles are also represented by South Indian angavastras featuring zari and woven borders.

The 31 mementos together offer a glimpse into Tamil Nadu’s diverse cultural landscape, bringing its spiritual traditions, classical art, craftsmanship, historical figures, textiles and sporting achievements to the PM Mementos e-Auction 2026.
