Ministry of Coal undertakes cleanliness, e-waste management and blood donation initiatives under Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 and Special Campaign 6

It was an eventful and action-oriented day at the Ministry of Coal as a series of activities were organised today under Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 and Special Campaign 6, bringing together the themes of cleanliness, environmental responsibility and community welfare. Shri Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Coal, and Shri Sanoj Kumar Jha, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Smt. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary along with senior officers and officials of the Ministry, participated in the activities.

 

The day commenced with the inauguration of an E-Waste Kiosk at the Main Entrance Lobby of GPOA-3 by Shri Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary, Ministry of Coal. The kiosk will facilitate the collection of e-waste and will remain operational till 31 October 2026, encouraging responsible disposal of electronic waste and promoting greater awareness about sustainable waste management practices.

The inauguration was followed by the “Ek Din, Ek Saath, Ek Ghanta” Cleanliness Drive along the service road near the metro exit gate and the GPOA-3 entry gate. Senior officers and officials actively participated in the drive, reinforcing the message that cleanliness is a collective responsibility and requires sustained participation.

 

Adding a humanitarian dimension to the day’s activities, a Blood Donation Camp was organised near the Entry Gate of GPOA-3. Officers and officials participated in the camp and contributed towards the noble cause of blood donation, reflecting the spirit of compassion, community service and social responsibility.

The active participation of the Ministry’s senior leadership, officers and officials gave further impetus to the objectives of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 and Special Campaign 6. The initiatives brought together environmental awareness, cleanliness and community welfare, translating the spirit of collective responsibility into meaningful action.

                                               

The day’s activities reflected the spirit of collective participation and responsible citizenship, with officers and officials coming together to contribute towards cleanliness, environmental sustainability and community welfare. The initiatives under Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 and Special Campaign 6 reaffirm the Ministry of Coal’s commitment to fostering a culture of cleanliness, sustainability and social responsibility, inspiring continued action towards a cleaner, greener and healthier India.
