Pune, October 2, 2026: 

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence on October 2, 2026, at Bapu Bhavan, National Institute of Naturopathy, Tadiwala Road, Pune. Officers, physicians, employees, interns, students, and members of the public participated enthusiastically in the programme.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Naina Athalye, Coordinator for Gandhian Studies, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries and participants. She highlighted the life, ideals, and enduring relevance of Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy in contemporary society.

Senior officials of the Institute paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding his statue and offering their respects. On this occasion, officers, physicians, employees, interns, students, and distinguished guests shared their thoughts on Gandhiji’s principles of truth, non-violence, cleanliness, simplicity, and service to humanity.

All participants reaffirmed their commitment to adopting Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and incorporating his teachings into their daily lives. Speakers emphasized that Gandhiji’s values continue to inspire society to follow the path of truth, non-violence, self-reliance, cleanliness, and selfless service.

At the conclusion of the programme, refreshments were served to all participants at the Institute’s Natural Diet Centre. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all attendees.
