MY Bharat Karnataka to hold State-level Health Walk/Run under Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign in Bengaluru on 4 October 2026


Around 700 young people to walk and run for a healthy, drug-free life

Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Karnataka, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, will organise a State-level Health Walk/Run at 9:00 AM on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at New Baldwin International Degree College, Doddabanaswadi, Bengaluru. The programme is part of the 100 Sundays Campaign under Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat, and will be held simultaneously at 36 locations across the country.

Around 700 young people, including students, MY Bharat volunteers, members of fitness clubs and the local community, are expected to take part. Smt. Swaranya Devi Venkataraman, Principal, and Dr. T. Venugopal, Chairman, New Baldwin International Degree College, along with other eminent public representatives and dignitaries, will attend the programme.

The 100 Sundays Campaign is a sustained youth engagement initiative that promotes healthy lifestyles, preventive health, mental well-being and positive use of leisure time among young people. The theme for the first month is "My Health, My Pride", which encourages youth to take ownership of their physical and mental health. The Health Walk/Run on the third Sunday follows the Health Check-up and BMI Assessment Camp held on the second Sunday.

The programme will begin with a warm-up session led by fitness trainers, signature wall campaign followed by the flag-off. Participants will then take part in a 3 km walk starting from New Baldwin International Degree College and ending at Tamarind Hotel Circle, with options for all fitness levels.The event will conclude with a collective Nasha Mukt Yuva Sankalp (pledge).

Through such collective activities, the campaign aims to build discipline, camaraderie and a shared commitment among young people to stay fit and stay away from drugs, as active partners in building a Viksit Bharat.
