Department of Justice Successfully Concludes Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026.

To strengthen voluntarism and collective action for Swachhata, a campaign on Swachhata Hi Seva-2026 was organized by the Department of Justice during 17th September to 2nd October, 2026 under the theme of this year ''Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat”. The campaign began on 17th September with Swachhata Pledge administered by Shri Niraj Verma, Secretary, Department of Justice to all the Officers and staff of the Department.

The officials of the Department participated in shramdaan activities and made special efforts to maintain the hygiene and enhance the ambience of their sections, common areas, stair cases, wall stones, tiles etc. Painting of indoor pots of plants was also carried out. Besides this, it was also ensured that loose fit wires, unserviceable water taps, broken furniture items and computers printer and accessories requiring service were serviced or replaced wherever possible during the campaign period. The Swachhata campaign focused on intensive and deep cleaning of the targeted areas which are generally ignored in routine maintenance/cleaning of the office premises and covered-Roof-top, roof water tank, washing/replacing of the curtains of various office rooms.

Sports events- Swachhata-Run and Dart Board Game under ‘Sports for Swachhata’ were also organized during the campaign in the Department on 25.09.2026.

Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice led the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026 in the Department of Justice on 1st October, 2026. The campaign began with floral tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar by Hon’ble Minister in the front lawns of Jaisalmer House, Department of Justice, New Delhi. Hon’ble Minister led the “Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” drive and all Officers and Staff participated in the event. Tree plantation under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” was also organized in the front Lawn of Jaisalmer House, Department of Justice emphasizing the importance of our collective efforts to improve the environment.

The campaign was successfully concluded with the distribution of Swachhata Samman by Minister to Safai Mitras of the Department. Winners of the Swachhata Sports events were also conferred with awards by the Minister. As part of the Swachhata Diwas initiative, Safai Mitras of the Department were given Swachhata Kits containing sanitizer, gloves, hand-towel, t-shirts, caps, etc.

Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice commended the efforts of the Department and the active participation of Officers and Staff for the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2026.
