As part of the NPS Diwas 2026 campaign, the NPS Sanchay Yatra will reach Purba Bardhaman District of West Bengal on October 10, 2026, as part of its State-wide outreach programme aimed at creating greater awareness about the National Pension System (NPS) and the importance of systematic pension planning for a financially secure future.

The NPS Sanchay Yatra was flagged off from New Delhi on October 01, 2026 by the Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS). In West Bengal, the Yatra is travelling across various cities and districts from October 1^st to 15^th, 2026, taking the message of pension awareness closer to citizens. During its visit to Purba Bardhaman, the NPS Sanchay Yatra will cover key locations, including Bardhaman Town Rice Mill Cluster, Kalna Riverine Agri Market and Katwa Krishi Bazar.

Trained representatives accompanying the Yatra will provide information on the features and benefits of NPS Sanchay, assist citizens with the process of opening NPS accounts and making contributions, and address queries related to pension planning. Awareness materials will also be distributed among visitors.

Officials from UCO Bank and other banks will be present at the designated locations to provide assistance and facilitate citizens interested in availing themselves of NPS-related services.

Citizens of Purba Bardhaman District are encouraged to visit the NPS Sanchay Yatra Van and make use of the opportunity to learn about NPS Sanchay and the importance of early and systematic pension planning.

The outreach initiative seeks to strengthen pension awareness among citizens and encourage greater participation in pension planning, thereby contributing towards greater financial security in the future. The NPS Sanchay Yatra invites citizens to participate in the campaign and spread the message of pension awareness.
