Supporting the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company Limited (NTECL) has provided Rs.80 lakh in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the District Administration, Tiruvallur. The funds, allocated from NTECL’s CSR funds for FY 2024–25 and FY 2026–27, will fund nutritional kits for tuberculosis patients under the ‘Nikshay Mitra’ initiative.

The contribution was formally acknowledged during the launch of the Joint Squad for Health (JOSH) Teams and the felicitation of TB Mukt Panchayats at the Tiruvallur District Collectorate on October 8, 2026. Smt. S. Kavitha, District Collector of Tiruvallur, felicitated NTECL for its contribution towards nutritional support under the TB Mukt Abhiyan. Shri Ahman Kaunain Raza, CEO of NTECL, accepted the honor on behalf of the organization, accompanied by Dr. Surenthiran N., AGM (HR), NTECL.

Proper nutrition remains essential for TB recovery and treatment success. This collaborative effort reinforces NTECL’s commitment to partnering with local administration to address public health priorities and advance the national goal of a TB-free India.
