Nandini Limestone Mines Promotes Cleanliness Awareness Among Students
Fruits and educational materials distributed to encourage hygiene and environmental responsibility

Bhilai Steel Plant’s Nandini Limestone Mines organised a cleanliness awareness programme at Adarsh Gram School, Deurjhal, under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign to promote hygiene, healthy habits and environmental responsibility among students.
The programme was organised in line with the Government of India’s initiative to strengthen public awareness about cleanliness, hygienic practices and environmental protection. As part of its ongoing outreach efforts, Nandini Limestone Mines has been conducting various activities to promote cleanliness among employees, contractual workers and members of the local community.
During the programme, students were sensitised to the importance of maintaining a clean environment and encouraged to incorporate cleanliness into their daily routines. The initiative also sought to develop a sense of personal and collective responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean. Fruits and educational materials were distributed among the children on the occasion.
The programme was organised by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team of Nandini Limestone Mines under the guidance of Shri Chintala Srikanth, Chief General Manager and Mines Head, Rajhara, and the leadership of Shri Santosh Kumar Khande, Deputy General Manager, Rajhara; Shri Ajay Chaturvedi, Training Officer and Deputy General Manager, Nandini Mines; and Shri Alankar Bhivgade, Assistant General Manager, Nandini Mines. Shri Arvind Pratap, Junior Engineer, along with Shri Shiv Bahadur Yadav and Shri Himmat Singh Randhawa, was also present.
The initiative reflects Nandini Limestone Mines’ continued efforts to promote cleanliness awareness among students and extend the message of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ to the wider local community.
