The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Raipur Branch Office, will organise a special programme in Raipur on October 14 to mark World Standards Day 2026. The programme will be held at Courtyard by Marriott, Labhandi Road, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

This year’s World Standards Day theme is ‘Shared Vision for a Better World’. The programme will focus on Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7), with special emphasis on affordable and clean energy, energy efficiency, the importance of quality standards, and the role of standardisation in promoting sustainable development.

The programme aims to highlight the significance of quality standards in the clean energy sector and enhance awareness about standardisation. It will also underline the importance of standards in promoting safe, quality-assured and sustainable products and services, while encouraging the effective and responsible use of energy among industries, consumers and other stakeholders.
