The Inter-Group Competition for Republic Day Camp (RDC)-2026 of the Kerala and Lakshadweep NCC Directorate was conducted by 30 Kerala Battalion NCC under the NCC Group Kozhikode at the Group Training Centre, Kozhikode, from 05 October to 14 October 2026.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from cadet teams representing all five NCC Groups under the Kerala and Lakshadweep NCC Directorate. The participating cadets competed in various events, including Drill, Cultural Events, Flag Area, Best Cadet and Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) categories. The cadets displayed exceptional dedication, discipline, teamwork and competitive spirit, showcasing a high standard of performance across all events.
The camp was organised with the twin objectives of selecting the most deserving cadets to represent the Kerala and Lakshadweep NCC Directorate at the forthcoming Republic Day Camp-2027 (RDC-2027) and determining the winners and runners-up among the five NCC Groups for the prestigious Education Minister's Banner for the training year 2026–27.
A prize distribution ceremony was held on 13 October 2026, during which Brig A Ragesh, Deputy Director General, Kerala and Lakshadweep NCC Directorate, gave away prizes to the individual event winners and presented trophies to the winning teams in the team events. Ernakulam Group stood first amongst all the Groups and begged the Championship trophy towards Education Minister’s Banner, while Kollam Group secured second position. The ceremony recognised the outstanding performances, dedication and competitive spirit of the participating cadets and teams.
The competition provided a valuable platform for cadets to demonstrate their leadership qualities, physical fitness, cultural talent, communication skills and overall excellence. The rigorous selection process also helped identify outstanding cadets capable of upholding the high standards and traditions of the National Cadet Corps at the national-level Republic Day Camp.
The event reflected the NCC's enduring commitment to nurturing discipline, leadership, national integration and a spirit of service among the youth. The enthusiastic participation and commendable performances of the cadets highlighted the dedication of the participating NCC Groups and the collective efforts of the training staff in preparing cadets for prestigious national-level events.
The successful conduct of the competition by 30 Kerala Battalion NCC, under the aegis of NCC Group Kozhikode, marked an important milestone in the Directorate's preparations for RDC-2027 and the annual assessment for the Education Minister's Banner for 2026–27.
