The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Regional Office, North-Eastern Region, Guwahati, inaugurated its Branch Office at Kolasib, Mizoram on 09.10.2026. The opening of this Office will strengthen the delivery of social security and healthcare services to workers and their families in the region.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Pu Lalfamkima, Deputy Speaker, Mizoram, as the Chief Guest. Sh. Anil Kumar Sahu, Zonal Insurance Commissioner (NE Zone), Sh. Champak Biswas, Regional Director, ESIC, North-Eastern Region, Sh. Ahtesham, Deputy Director, ESIC, and Sh. David Lalfazuala, Assistant Director, Camp Office, Aizawl, were present on the occasion.

Sh. Khamkhanmung Guite, Branch Manager, ESIC Branch Office, Kolasib, welcomed the dignitaries and other guests attending the programme.

The newly inaugurated Branch Office will cater to the various ESIC services for employers, insured persons, beneficiaries and other stakeholders in Kolasib and the surrounding areas. The establishment of the Branch Office is expected to further improve accessibility to ESIC services and strengthen the implementation of the ESI Scheme in Mizoram.

The initiative reflects ESIC’s continued commitment towards ensuring accessible, efficient and comprehensive social security and healthcare services for workers and their families across the North-Eastern Region.
