Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office, Raipur, has issued an advisory to establishments and employers in the Raipur region regarding the filing of the Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) for October 2026 following the reported increase in the statutory monthly wage ceiling for provident fund contributions from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000.

According to the advisory, the ECR filing facility under the revised wage ceiling is scheduled to become available from October 15, 2026. Employers in the Raipur region will be able to submit their ECR and corresponding contributions by October 31, 2026, within the stipulated period. The extended filing window is intended to facilitate compliance under the revised wage ceiling and provide employers with adequate time to complete the necessary procedures.

The Regional Office has emphasised the importance of timely filing to minimise technical difficulties and avoid excessive pressure on the portal towards the end of the submission period. Employers have been advised to complete the filing process well before the deadline to ensure smooth compliance with the applicable provisions.

The Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Raipur, said that the increase in the wage ceiling could expand access to social security benefits for eligible employees. To assist employers in uploading returns under the revised provisions, a dedicated helpdesk has been established at the Raipur Regional Office. Employers requiring assistance or clarification regarding the filing process, contribution requirements or technical issues may contact the office through its official email address or helpdesk telephone number.

The EPFO has urged all establishments and employers under its Raipur jurisdiction to make use of the October 15–31 filing window and ensure timely submission of their Electronic Challan-cum-Return and provident fund contributions.
