On behalf of the Chartered Accountancy profession, SIRC of ICAI has prepared a representation seeking clarifications on Chartered Accountants’ certification requirements under RERA and suggesting improvements to the existing compliance framework. SIRC Chairman CA Muppala Subba Rao handed over the representation to the Tamil Nadu RERA Chairman, Thiru K. Phanindra Reddy. Tamil Nadu NAREDCO President Thiru Manishankar and CA Vinay Thyagaraj were present on the occasion. The representation highlights practical issues relating to finance costs, designated bank accounts, Joint Development Agreements and professional certificate formats. SIRC has sought an interaction with the Authority to discuss practical solutions and promote greater clarity and consistency in RERA compliance.
