The Indian Air Force’s Sarang Helicopter Display Team arrived in Raipur today to participate in the three-day Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav 2026 celebrations marking the state’s foundation day. The team is set to enthral spectators with a spectacular aerial display over the Sendh Lake area in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
Flying the indigenously developed Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, Sarang is renowned for its precision flying, synchronised formations and breathtaking aerial manoeuvres. Its display will showcase the flying skills, discipline, teamwork and professionalism of the Indian Air Force, while highlighting India’s indigenous helicopter capabilities.
The display will offer residents, students, youth and aviation enthusiasts an opportunity to witness the precision and coordination of helicopter formation flying. Sarang’s participation will add a vibrant aviation dimension to the Rajyotsav celebrations, strengthening the bond between the Indian Air Force and the people of Chhattisgarh.
With its distinctive peacock-inspired colours and motto, “Inspire Through Excellence,” the Sarang Helicopter Display Team represents the excellence of the Indian Air Force at national and international events. Its presence in Raipur seeks to inspire young minds and kindle their interest in aviation and service to the nation.
