Indian Railways has been actively participating in Special Campaign 6, being implemented from 2nd to 31st October 2026. As the Campaign approaches its conclusion on 31st October, Indian Railways has surpassed several key targets, with significant achievements in cleanliness, scrap disposal, e-waste management, disposal of pending matters and process simplification contributing in a major way in the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM-6).

As a major public-centric initiative, Rail Jan Samvaad was organised on 22nd October 2026 at 5,884 railway stations across the country to facilitate direct interaction with passengers and obtain their feedback and suggestions on cleanliness, passenger amenities and service delivery. The Chairman & CEO, Railway Board, Shri Satish Kumar, interacted with stakeholders at New Delhi, while Secretary, DARPG, participated in the programme at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai. The initiative provided an opportunity to identify local issues and take suitable follow-up action for improving passenger services.

With Special Campaign 6 scheduled to conclude on 31st October 2026, Indian Railways continues to focus on consolidating the achievements and sustaining the best practices adopted during the Campaign, with emphasis on cleanliness, efficient management of resources, timely disposal of pending matters and improved passenger services.
